Due to recent changes announced by the Government, £100m has been added to the Scrappage Budget, as well as changes to eligible vehicles. As part of the scheme, you'll receive £2,000 towards a new Fiat Professional Vehicle when you trade in a van that's at least 8 years old (instead of the previous 10). To be eligible, the vehicle must have been first registered on or before 28 February 2002. This means a Y registration or earlier, or new style number plates where the third and fourth digits of the registration number are '51'. You must have a current MOT certificate and also have been the registered owner of the vehicle for at least 12 months. The scheme will come to an end on 28 February 2010 or when the Government funding runs out, whichever is sooner.
